Interactive Marketing Solutions has the capability to determine if a wireless telephone number has changed ownership (Right Party Verification) since the date of last contact. This date, which can be as early as 2009, may be the date the consumer first registered their telephone number, the last date they were contacted using the number, or a point in time there was confidence of the number’s ownership.
Process: Our customer will submit to IMS a list of telephone numbers and the aforementioned date as fields 1 and 2 respectively in a comma (.csv) delimited file. For your convenience, additional data may be placed on the file, but will not be used by the process. IMS will query databases housing up-to-date telephone data from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T- Mobile, Assurance, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile and identify if the telephone number changed hands (recycled) since the date available on the customers file. (We project a 95% identification rate based on experience with other customers.)
IMS will return your original file with the addition of a Result Code of:
Yes - Calls may be made to this wireless number (ownership is unchanged) or
No - Do Not Call this wireless number (ownership has changed).
This code will be appended as the first field in each record.
The turnaround time for processing and return depends on volume, and may be as little as one-hour but not longer than 24 hours from receipt of your file.
The price for the recycled wireless telephone verification service is just $.06 per number ($60/1000) with a minimum of $300 per upload.
The telephone numbers submitted and the frequency of submission is your choice. We recommend that you identify the numbers you intend to call and submit them to IMS’s process at least every 30 to 60 days, but we can accommodate any schedule. We use 30 to 60 days as the time it will take a carrier to reissue a disconnected number, but this can vary for any number of reasons.
TCPA restrictions involving recycled telephone numbers focus primarily on mobile phones. The IMS recycled Telephone Number process does accept both landline and wireless telephone numbers: Landlines will be identified while ownership will be established for wireless numbers. If customers have the capability of identifying Landlines in-house, significant savings may be achieved by submitting only wireless telephone numbers through the process.
